We present to you Ireland's newest Salsa Festival, St Patrick's Salsa Festival. We have selected some of the finest National and International instructors who will bring the salsa in Dublin and Ireland to another level. At the Festival you can get the Best of both worlds, Cuban style as well as LA and NY style Salsa. We will feature the first appearance in Ireland of the Stars of Cubamemucho, world famous Cuban Congress.
We bring you 25 teachers, 4 DJ's, 3 nights and 2 days with over 40 hours of workshops, Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Kuduro and Reggaeton.
13 international and 12 national instructors will teach you Bachata, Salsa (LA, NY, on1, on2, Cuban, Rueda De Casino), Zouk, Kuduro, Salsa Hip Hop, Cha Cha and Reggaeton.
The name "Salsa" is the Spanish word for sauce, it also suggests "mixture" of ingredients to create this spicy flavour. In the spirit of the name "Salsa" we have gathered mixture of ingredients to prepare the sauce named St. Patrick's Salsa Festival.
The ingredients are: all styles of Salsa (LA. NY, Puerto Rican, Cuban, on1, on2), Cha Cha, Mambo, Bachata, Salsa Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Bachata - Tango, Zouk, Kuduro and the most important ingredient of all required to make any dish, LOVE. We use our LOVE and PASSION for music and dance to creat this HOT and SPICY Weekend.
Our aim is to bring dancers from around the country and all over the world, to show everyone good time, what Irish hospitality is, friendliness and weekend to remember.
This sizzling weekend is aiming to bring people together in the spirit art, motion and self expression through dance, connect with people across borders, improve on your dancing, learn, develop, grow and most of all have FUN!

Pablo y Diana
Colombia/Argentina

Pablo Daniel Baez Hug was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has background in theatre, jazz and modern dance.
Diana Yuliet Montoya Ramirez was born in Medellin, Colombia. She has background in ballet, contemporary dance, jazz and modern dance.
Pablo and Diana started dancing as partners in January of 2002 and since then they have represented Madrid in congresses and festival at a national level in places like:
Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Cadiz, Granada, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Malaga, Tenerife and Valencia, just to name but a few.
And on international level in the following countries:
Germany, France, Romania, Monaco, UK, Turkey, Cyprus, Portugal, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Isla Margarita, Venezuela, US, Cuba, Hong Kong, Korea, India, Australia, Greece, Uruguay, Colombia and Dubai.
They have been on the judging panel of many national and international congresses, Hong Kong 2006, 2007, 2009, Korea 2006, India 2008, Isla Margarita 2007, Caracas, Venezuela 2007.
Champions of Spain for Salsa cabaret 2006, finalist at the World Salsa Championship category cabaret 2006 in Las Vegas and in Orlando in 2007, which put them in the TOP 10 Best couples in the world.
They were the opening act at Mariah Carey's concert in Hong Kong, February 2008.

Alessandra Lo Piero

Alessandra Lo Piero is the Italian Champion of Salsa and Mambo (1996, 1997, 1998) at the Italian Dance Academy and official dancer in the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress team.
Undergraduate as dance teacher at the Italian federation of professional dancers and as technical judge at the Italian federation of sport dance.
In 2002 she is the Italian Champion of the Caribbean dances.
Since 2003 partners with the famous teacher, dancer and choreographer Jayson Molina, becoming part of the International Dance Company "Rompe Cabezas" with whom she starts a long worldwide tour.
In 2005 graduates as an International Judge at the Salsa Open in the International Salsa Bureau of Puerto Rico.
Since 2006 she acts as judge at the World Salsa Open and National Italian Salsa Open.
She is currently the only Italian representative at the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress.

Sagi Iluz

Sagi Iluz started salsa in 1999. He fell in love with the dance pretty much straight away and so became extremely passionate about learning it! He started to travel as much as he possibly could, taking lessons with Supper Mario, Leon Ross, Yamulee, Santo Rico, Cobo Brothers and many more. He started teaching in Scotland in 2000. Sagi's style of dancing has been described as "smooth", "debonair" and "slick" so the name "Salsa Suave" was very befitting! Sagi's love and passion for the music is very apparent in not only his teaching but also in his dancing. He is well known for making his followers feel as if they are the best dancer in the world. Sagi is also a lot of fun on the dance floor.

Emilito Herrera comes from the Matanzas Region in Cuba and he lives in Germany for the last 8 years. Emilitos speciality is Cuban Salsa casino style and above all Rueda de Casino. He is part of the Cubamemucho Stars and with them he has been teaching and performing around Germany and the world.

Ronald Morales Dubes - Cuba

Ronald Morales Dubes was born the 3rd of February 1979 in Havana, Cuba and made his dance education from 1997 to 2001 at Tropicana – international dance academy – with the certificate professional dance and cabaret. He studied with the ballet professor Fernando Alonzo and Frometa, the contemporaneous dance professor Maite and the folklore teacher O Farri as well as the show dance teacher Olga Lidea.
Between 2000 and 2005 he worked 6 days per week as a musical dancer in the show „Un paraiso bajo las estrellas“at Tropicana Havana and during the same time he was dancing with the cabaret „Parisienne“ for the National Theatre in the Hotel Nacional of Cuba.
Further dance acts followed during a German tour performing in the cities Dusseldorf, Munich and Berlin in the years 2005 to 2007 with the dance group Yoldance and the show „Viva Cuba“, reference Yolena Alonso and contemporanean dance teacher Armando Rio. Then he stayed in Germany and started to work as a dance teacher and choreographer in the range of Cuban Salsa, ReggaetÛn, Merengue, Bachata, Chachacha, Son Cubano,Afro Cuban, Rumba, Folklore, Hip Hop, Dance Hall, Contemporaneous Dance, Lady Styling, Samba and Capoeira in several dance academies in Munich like VW Dance Station, Dance & Fight, Circulo and Kayjays.
Since 2008 he is also dancing in his Cuban dance group „Mezcla Perfecta“. They present different dance styles like Cuban Salsa, Hip Hop and Reggaeton, Afro Cuban, Rumba, Bachata, Folklore, etc. Beside the shows in these ranges he also did workshops at conventions and events.
Dance performances, workshops as well as Gala shows he had with the international organizer „Cubamemucho“ in Munich, Poland and at a Salsa/Reggaeton Festival in Cologne. Furthermore he had more foreign dance performances in the Casino of Insbruck,Austria and at the Gondel League in Monaco.

Solangel Fernandez - Cuba

Solangel is born in 1988 in Cuba. At he age of 6 years in Havana she started at La Preeide, School of Rhythmic Sport.
Next step in her development as a dancer was her graduation from th Ballet School "Prodanza" of Laura Alonso specializing in Modern and Contemporary Dance.
She auditioned, was excepted and graduated from the School of "Tropicana". She filmed a DVD with David Calzado y Su Charanga Habanera and had the pleasure working with NG La Banda and Maestro Jose Luis Cortes.

Gregory & Nanda

Founders of the Granada Dance Project, Belgian dance company and school focusing on bachata.
They are also the promoters of Brussels International Bachata Festival.
Gregory has always been involved in artistic activities. He was a musician long before he fell in love with dance. He believe that good dancer should first be in love with music. In his workshops he shares his knowledge of rhythm, precise leading techniques and his sense of movement and an infectious joy.
Nanda was born in Chile and since early age she has been involved in dancing. She has a natural sense of rhythm and dance. Her dancing exposure started with Colombian salsa, merengue, bachata and cumbia, the for a few years she did belly dancing, funk and hip hop before furthering her knowledge with salsa on 2 NY style and deeper understanding of bachata.
Together Gregory & Nanda have performed across Europe and the world, Poland, Sweden, Luxemburg, France, Lithuania, Lebanon, UK, USA.

Ireland's "Mr Salsa" Chris is one of the most exciting, inspiring and entertaining characters from the Emerald Isle. Ensuring everyone has a great time whilst learning to dance his classes focus mainly on technique, natural body movement, and FUN. Chris regularly teaches, DJ's and hosts Salsa Festivals in Belfast and has made numerous appearances on BBC and RTE. Chris says "Everyone can Salsa and it's all about having FUN!"

Raul Torres

Raul Montes Torres, born in Havana Cuba. He started dancing from early childhood and among the regular Cuban people he discovered the secrets of Cuban Culture expresses in dancing and folklore.
Studying at the dance school of Tropicana was the path that led him in to professional dancing, taking class after class: classic and modern ballet, flamenco, samba, acting and theatre, circus acrobatics, hair and make up as well as folklore and popular Cuban dances.
He was one of the lucky 10 from his class who went on working at the most famous cabarets in Cuba and became part of Tropicana.
Torres dance School was founded in the summer of 2002 in Bulgaria. Raul travels around Europe teaching salsa LA, NY style, Cuban, Afro-rumba, mambo, cha cha, rueda, reggaeton etc.
Raul have performed in London, Berlin, Hamburg, The Canary Islands, Switzerland, Spain just to name but a few.

Cubanito & Samantha

Samantha took her first steps in to the world of dance in Italy when she was 13 years old. She began with Classical dance, modern jazz and contemporary. After 2 years she moved onto Flamenco.
In 2000 her passion for dance lead her to ballroom dancing which she really enjoyed.
In 2002 she started to work in Italy as an animator in a Cuban night club, where she met Patrick, her partner. It was inseparable union. She was impressed by his style, his sensuality and his movements. Thanks to him she got addicted to the "Latin Fever" and fell in love with Afro, Reggaeton and Rumba.
In 2004 Samantha and Patrick won the Regional Salsa Competition in Italy and they were admited to the National Salsa Competition. She moved to Ireland a year ago where she is teaching with Patrick.
She has an incredible energy that she wants to share with everybody. It is her philosophy that "two left feet" does not exist because with her everyone can dance.
Patrick "Cubanito" was born in Brazil where his first steps were with Lambada and other Brazilian rhythms.
After moving to Italy he started working in Latin night clubs where he discovered his passion for Salsa. In 2002 he started to teach and perform Cuban salsa, since that time he couldn't stop and started to grow an interest in to the original Cuban culture, orishas and it's application in to Afro dances.
After he've met Samantha and winning together the fist place at Salsa competition in Perugia, they started to refine their style, studing with recognized artists and travel around the world to attend many different events.
In 2008 Patrick and Samantha established "Dance Project" group. Patrick is still studying and improving in Afro-rumba with his instructor Alberto Vades, world famous dancer.

Anthony Auffret

Anthony was born in Brittany, France, where he started dancing at an early age.
His first steps were taken in Fest Noz (traditional dance).
By the age of 13 Anthony decided it was time to rebel and learn something "cooler". He went on learning Le Rock. In 1999 Anthony discovered Salsa and got hooked.
In 2001 he travelled to Latin America and gained a better understanding of the roots and the culture behind the dance.That same year he started competing with his partner Coral Perez Garcia.
In 2002 they represented Ireland as semi-finalists at the World Salsa Championship in Miami. Anthony created SalsaNation dance company in 2002. He teaches LA style salsa.
He believes that as Salsa teacher his primary mission is to convey his love of the music and dance. The learning process should always be fun.

Dr. Rumba aka Joshua Amaechi

Dr Rumba has been the most contributing factor to the development of Salsa in Ireland with his charismatic, energetic and fun loving style of teaching; he took Ireland by storm and started the greatest hunger for Salsa in the country. Dr Rumba has thought thousands of people since his arrival in Ireland with his dance company Afrimania, most of his students have become the main organisers and instructors of Salsa in Ireland today. With dance theatre background, Dr Rumba teaches LA Style Salsa with amazing influence of African dance movement and body techniques.
Dr Rumba has been recognised for his talent and contribution to dance and art from the press to award groups from around the world, he is the organiser of the Irish Salsa Congress, "Ireland's longest running Salsa Festival", the Founder of the National Dance Academy, director of Afrimania Entertainment and choreographer and founder of Ireland's longest running salsa show group E4:24 (Afrimania Dance Company).

Hellen & Patrick (2nFro)

2nFro are Dublins Mambo dynamic duo. 2nFro is lead by Hellen and Patrick, two of Ireland's best dancers. They teach technique, control and style, adding their own little funk for a truly different dance experience. Hellen and Patrick have been dancing a long time and have performed and taught classes all over Ireland, UK and Europe. Patrick, who is from London, was a member of the Leon Rose Project and was known to be one of London's best dancers. He moved to Ireland 3 years ago and has teamed up with MizB to form a very strong and powerful dance/teaching duo. Hellen, aka MizB, is one of the founding members of FUSION dance group, who came 2nd in the European champions in 2007. She is well known for bringing her funky Hip-hop flair to Salsa and lighting the floor with her Reggaeton moves. These two together are an explosive team.

Alain Pezeron (DJ Frenchy)

Alain was born in Paris, France, but his heart lies with Guadeloupe (French West-Indies) where he started dancing Zouk socially at an early age. Alain spent 10 years in the state of Georgia, USA where he was performing in many "Step Shows" with his fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma, Fraternity, Inc. He even appeared in a Movie on Stepping, "Soul Steppers" shot in Philadelphia. In 2004, Alain discovered Salsa and got hooked, but didn't start dancing seriously until 2006 when he arrived in Ireland. Since then, he developed his passion for salsa by participating in many congresses and started to DJ all Latin music (Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton, zouk….). Also Known as DJ Frenchy, Alain gained a better understanding of the history and culture behind the dance by studying the music he is playing in many locations in Ireland. Alain's theory about salsa is all about "having fun with your partner and the music". Where Alain goes, be prepared to have fun Line-ups!

Frankie - SalsaSensation

Frank has been dancing salsa for 7 years, he took his first steps with one of the most incredible dance instructors on the international salsa scene, "Mick O" in Brussels, who introduced him to LA style salsa on1.
From his already strong dance background and different dance influences such as Hip Hop, African, Caribbean and Latin style Frank developed hip own unique style, demonstrating diversity, "Salsa (on 1 and on 2), Lambada, Rumba, Spins, men shines and line-up dances."
In 2007 Frank began to pour his passion into his own company, creating "SalsaSensation", which provides lessons for dancers of all levels, themed events and parties in Drogheda, Swords and Dublin.
Frank is passionate about sharing salsa and recognises the value it brings to people. He has been involved in numerous charity events supporting Family Network, Special Olympics in addition to working with schools and hospitals.
Those who have met Frank on the dance floor know him as a dynamic, passionate and dedicated salsa dancer.

Vanessa has always danced. She has taught and performed internationally. She in known for her elegant style, body movement and her smooth lead. She teaches mainly Cross Body style on1.
Full time dance teacher and complete dancer she has tried many different types on dances and likes to use this knowledge to Spice up your Salsa.
Also as a musician she has trained and learnt about Salsa music. Her musicality classes for all levels have helped many dancers.
Vanessa is the organizer of the famous workshops and parties in Moate The friendliest events that gather every month dancers from all around the country!

Fernando - Suavemente Salsa

Suavemente Salsa was founded by Fernando Gutierrez. Fernando, originally from Guatemala, started dancing salsa socially in 1998. Like many he very quickly became a salsaholic and travels regularly to salsa congresses across Europe and Latin America every chance he gets. He started teaching Salsa as a hobby to close friends in 2001.
Today, the team of rises of 6 core teachers -Fernando, Lisa, Claire, Annie, Conor and Patrick. All very experienced dancers/salsa instructors in their own right.
