ALEX

Alex began his musical education at an early age, while in school. Coming from a family with a musical background, it was only natural that he would devote himself to music. Alex was first introduced to Salsa and Latin music in 1999 and, like many people, he soon became a salsaholic. After moving to Ireland he joined the team of instructors at the one and only Cuban Salsa School, which was founded by a native Cuban teacher. Alex regularly travels to countries like Cuba, Puerto Rico, Spain, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil among others, in order to further his dancing skills and musical knowledge.

In 2005 Alex was joined by Eva, who became his dance partner. They founded a dance school together and called it Cuban Salsa Ireland. Today Alex and Eva are known as the only teachers who still teach Salsa in the traditional and authentic way that it has been taught and performed in Cuba for centuries.
